About the Radiomir

Radiomir

The Radiomir stands out as one of the most iconic diving watches, accompanying divers for over 80 years. First created in 1936 at the request of the Italian Navy, the Radiomir was initially a military tool that earned its stripes and performance reputation during the European conflicts of World War II. However, it wasn’t made available to the public until 1993, when Panerai began its transition from a supplier of military equipment to a luxury watch brand. This shift opened the door for watch enthusiasts and collectors to experience the unparalleled craftsmanship and history behind the Radiomir. Each Radiomir features a distinctive cushion-shaped case ranging from 42 to 49 mm in size, constructed from materials such as stainless steel, rose gold, and ceramic. Since 2005, Panerai has equipped most Radiomir models with in-house movements, offering practical features such as GMT functions, power reserve indicators, and small seconds. Some models, like the Radiomir 1940 ref. PAM00624, even offers an impressive 10-day power reserve, showcasing Panerai's commitment to precision and innovation.
